Standing Committee of Health Professionals in Rheumatology

EULAR's Standing Committee of Health Professionals in Rheumatology (HPR, formerly Allied Health Professionals AHP) main function is to promote multidisciplinary collaboration in the treatment of rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases in Europe. HPR is composed of health care professionals specialized in rheumatology, such as nurses, occupational therapists, physical therapists, psychologists, social workers, nutritionists and podiatrists and other health care professionals. The HPR committee encourages health professional research in rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases and works also to improve the patient's role as the key expert of his/her own treatment.

The HPR committee was established in 1989 as a European platform for collaboration and shared information among the different health professionals working with rheumatology.

Chairperson: Dr. Thea Vliet Vlieland, Netherlands

Past Chairperson: Dr. Tanja Stamm, Austria
